Head Trainer David Smith B.Sc CPDT-KA
David was born in England and has loved dogs since childhood. He has studied with the world's leading dog behaviourists and trainers, and is a member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), JAPDT (Japan Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and is certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.
In 2000, he gained Puppy Class and Aggression Problem Solving Certificates and in 2004 a Canine/Human Interface qualification with merit. But he believes you can not get better teachers than the dogs themselves. As well as being a popular speaker at JAPDT conferences, and lecturing at Gunma Animal College, he also holds seminars on a variety of dog behaviour and training issues locally in Tochigi.
David lives in Nikko with his wife and five mix breed rescue dogs. He has trained dogs for service work, search & rescue, tracking, movies, scent work and flyball as well as competing in agility, obedience, and sled dog competitions, winning a first place in agility with his dog Toby.
But what he really loves is seeing dogs and people communicating, working, playing and enjoying their lives together.

Assistant Instructor Megumi Toda.
Megumi began to study behaviour and training in 1998. She enjoys training Japanese mix breed dogs who tend to be very intelligent but also rather fearful and independent.
Although she has successfully competed in obedience and agility she believes that dogs should be appreciated and enjoyed for what they are ,DOGS
